Our family was concerned about the application process due to our son having High Functioning Autism. Even though he had good grades, we knew that keeping up with deadlines for all the different colleges and different requirements would be a challenge. Brooke made the whole process seamless. Our son found her understanding, respectful, patient and fun to work with, as did we. Happy to announce that he got into every Engineering Program he applied to and several of the schools Honors Programs as well. Our second high-schooler is now on her college application journey working with Brooke.

As our son gets ready to go off to University of Chicago this fall, we wanted to take a moment to thank you for the incredible support you provided not only to him but also to me and my husband to navigate through the challenging process. Simply put, we couldn’t have done it without you!

As you know, our college application process was particularly convoluted, intertwined with baseball recruiting that needed the alignment of which D3 coaches were interested in him and which school he had a good shot at getting in academically. You helped us navigate through putting together a balanced list and also pointed out gaps in his resume/activities list so that we can focus on filling those during the summer.

We really loved that you had him use his own words on the essays but gave invaluable tips on where to go deeper and more specific while making less relevant content succinct. That not only helped strengthen his application from other vast pool of more than qualified candidates for highly selective schools, but also saved the family from unnecessary fights and debates. We’re glad he ignored our advice and listened to you!

Last but not least, you were our emotional support, a de facto family counselor, during the challenging time for us, and we couldn’t have asked for a better support to get through it all. While we’re relieved to have this process behind us, we do miss our counseling sessions!

Thanks so much for all your help with all 3 of our kids. You were always positive and encouraging and able to work well with all 3 of their very different personalities.

We wanted to thank you for helping make our family’s Christmas break so enjoyable and stress-free. Our daughter is still on cloud nine and may never come down!

We can’t thank you enough for your guidance. Having an outside advocate keep our daughter on track and being there for all things app-related (especially the essays) was invaluable. We promise to send friends’ kids your way as they start the process.

Also, we wanted to share a letter our daughter received from her admissions officer. The personal note on the back is quite special and should arm her well against the inevitable imposter syndrome Ivy-bound students face when arriving on campus.

Hi Ms. Green, I got into Brown!!!! Thank you for all your help, and I really appreciate the time you’ve spent to guide me through junior year and into senior year. I’m so excited, much more than I expected, and I can’t wait to start my college journey. Thank you for getting me into the essay-writing process and for giving me important insight into applications. My outcome wouldn’t have been the same without you!

From sophomore to senior year, Brooke provided insightful advice to help our daughter craft compelling essays to stand out amongst her peers. What stands out about Brooke is that she was able to foster my child’s passion and uncovered areas of interest to help her select a major which is not an easy task when my daughter’s interests spanned from art to computer science. It was quite daunting when my daughter applied to 17 different private and public colleges with early and regular deadlines. Luckily, we had Brooke to help us navigate through the entire application process. As a parent, working on financial aid with multiple platforms/systems and keeping track of all financial deadlines was overwhelming to say the least, but we knew if we had questions, Brooke was there to guide us every step of the way. Finally, my child had the problem of doing too much and extending herself which means every day was a deadline with never enough time. My wife and I had the luxury of having Brooke remind our daughter that her applications were due in a compassionate way. What else can I say other than Brooke is worth every penny!

In the midst of the holiday season and being mindful of the things we are grateful for, I wanted to reach out and say a huge THANK YOU for all of your help with our son!!! He’s home for the holidays from DePaul and is absolutely thriving!!! He got a 4.0 and has made sooooo many friends and his personal growth and maturity is just shocking!! I’m loving all of his hilarious college stories about the shenanigans and experiences he is having in Chicago! It’s such a great fit for my quirky guy who just isn’t all about football games and kegs!

I never even would have known about DePaul, so your suggestion was truly inspired!!!! We were both so lost and confused about the college application process and you made it easy and not-so-scary!
